I've always liked old pictures - from faded, sepia-toned ones of my grandparents, to those used on 50's and 60's American ads (similar to the one above) that make you wonder, "is it a painting or a photo?". I was on my Flickr site just a while ago and stumbled into George Eastman House's photostream. He has a collection of all these old, awesome pictures! Now I know where to go when I want to look for inspiration.
The swimming pool photo is a favorite, along with this very curious photo:
